 Thanksgiving Day for us this year was a very special day. We invited many of our American and Malawian friends over to share in a Thanksgiving meal. Though we did not have turkey, we did have 4 freshly killed chickens that we roasted and served along with many of the other traditional dishes. There were 22 of us total representing 4 countries: America, Malawi, Zimbabwe, and Holland. Many of the people that we invited have helped us in our transition here to Malawi, so Thanksgiving this year was a time for us to thank them for their friendships and for all they had done for us.
