I know it has been a while since we lasted posted a blog, but we are getting back into the swing of things here in Blantyre after the holiday season. Jamie has been busy with helping oversee the Hope 4 AIDS program. She is responsible for all of the financial and administrative duties for the program and that has kept her pretty busy lately. A switch in roles, since I am usually the ones taking on these tasks. As for myself (Daniel), I will be making a shift in my main ministry area for the remainder of our time here. Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world and this is very evident in the churches that we are working with here. It is one of the greatest needs in the church here Malawi and an area of great opportunity. With my business background and entrepreneurial spirit, I have felt very pulled in the direction of somehow assisting those in the church communities with business development. Over the last few months I have been doing some reading and research around economic development in the church. Last week I met with our SIM field director to discuss ministry opportunities in this area. He was very supportive of me and we brainstormed some ideas for moving forward. Though I will continue to assist Jonathan from time to time with sports ministry, I will be shifting my focus to business and economic development in the church here. I’m sure I’ll have more details to share in the future, but for now I just wanted to give a quick update on my new ministry focus. Please pray that I would have wisdom with who to connect with and who to work with in the coming months. |

Abrazos y besos a todos!
